TO LEARN-KINDS OF NOUN





NOUN:
A naming word is called a noun.not only one persons name ,one place name,one thing name,one situation,quality etc..............
According to these a noun is divided into two major groups.


1.CONCRETE NOUN

2.ABSTRACT NOUN



1.CONCRETE NOUN:
A noun which have image and shape are called concrete noun.

Eg: Man,Student,Country,Captain,Girl,Child,Mango,Stone,Shop,Company etc........


2.ABSTRACT NOUN:
A noun which do not have image and shape are called abstract noun.

Eg:Beauty,Childhood,Intelligence,Poverty,Truth,Faith etc............

Concrete Noun is divided into some more groups.
  • COMMON NOUN

  • PROPER NOUN

  • COLLECTIVE NOUN

  • COUNTABLE $ UNCOUNTABLE NOUN

  • COMPOUND NOUN



COMMON NOUN:
A general name of a place is called common noun.

PROPER NOUN:

A Specific name of a person or place is called proper noun. proper noun words should start in capital letters only.

COLLECTIVE NOUN:
The same type of groups are called collective noun.
Eg:
ARMY:a group of soldiers
FLEET:a group of ships

SET:a group of tools
HERD:a group of cattle
CROWD:a group of people
BUNCH:a group of keys,flowers
BAND:a group of musicians


COUNTABLE $ UNCOUNTABLE NOUN:
A noun which are countable are called countable noun.
A noun which are not countable are called uncountable noun.

COMPOUND NOUN:
more than one words join together and specify one noun means that noun is called compound noun.
